Force vs Hight in the semi's. By my calculations Hight needs 1 more round win to make the clowndown. Any thoughts on the outcome of this race?

Re: fc semi!!!

This has to be a tough decision for team Force.....on one hand, the boss needs a win....BAD!!........on the other hand, business wise, he needs all his Fords into the playoffs. Suspicious smoking of the tires coming up? Very Very late reaction time?

Re: fc semi!!!

I just posted this too (Indy Spoiler). Everything John has done lately to get Hight in the countdown tells me that this race goes to Hight.

Talk about being between a Rock and a Hard Place:eek:

If Papa Does Not Dump, That would show a Poor understanding of the big picture. All six Mustang floppers in the playoff? Just make it LOOK GOOD... the average 'Mark' won't know the difference... it would be a bit@h if the the car leaned out on launch, back fired the blower and all the auto safety equipment deployed....;)

Afterall, it's SHOW BUSINESS... :D

I think Papa's car will be set on KILL in an effort to not make a full pull, but if it does we will have low ET of FC.

Now we get to see if Mrs. Hood does the number so Hight can win and get into the countdown. Do you predict a smoking tire act or a red light or just plain doesn't run well??

Because the points reset back to square one for this Countdown, I think would be by far the best decision for John to throw the race. If John's in the Countdown and the points get reset, his sponsors are best served by John losing.

the only messy angle is whether the race is thrown honorably and honestly, of if he pretends the tuning was off, or a -.3 redlit was just a mistake or some other kind of obvious spin to a pre-determined outcome.

I would like to see john not even come to the line, personally. It's the most honorable of all possible outcomes and has been done before.

I predict a good race between the 2 of them. Hight got in the countdown with his win against John in the semi's.:D

Anyone who understands business or team sports will clearly understand why Hight needs to win this one for the common good of both.
I believe John understands it as well.

The bad part about this is that they should not even be in the position they are in. If there was no Countdown to the Countdown to 1 we would not even be discussing whether anyone has the throw a round at the US Nationals. In the biggest event of the year, a participant can't go for it to WIN the race, they are more worried about who gets into the crapdown.
