I have always liked Dave. He seems like a stright up guy and a pretty good driver. But was suprised to hear of his return with Team Kalitta. With the story of his face off with Jim O in the Vegas parking lot.
Glad to hear he is back, and glad we get another car back in what is becoming a short list of participants on race day.

Depending on what happens in the points, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him on the rest of the tour.... possibly serving as a blocker for Millican & Hartley. When David joined the group several years ago, it was also initially for R & D purposes only; but then he started winning races & attracting sponsors and the focus kind of shifted. It's just darn cool to see ANY pro cars/drivers returning after a hiatus. Polish that helmet, Hillary = hopefully you're next !

The only reason I ask about the sponsor is because I seem to recall hearing something over the winter from that team that the cars can't be run without a full time major sponsor. Also, Doug's car would only be going to a few races unless a full time major sponsor is found. I find it strange that they've run the full season with virtually no major sponsors and yet seem to find the funding. Now they're bringing out another car...hmmm. I doubt they're running it off of prize money.
