Ihra newest purchase (2 Viewers)

No surprise here. VMP was on that initial list of tracks that the IHRA supposedly in negotiations with earlier this year. Tyler Crossnoe, the VP of VMP and PDRA Race Director, posted last week about his last walk down the track. I also recall hearing that one of the concessions of the deal was that the IHRA will not race Pro Nitrous, which is one of the PDRA of its premier classes. We'll see.
it's a bunch of crap about the stipulation the Franklin's put about IHRA NOT being able to run pro nitrous. several teams were gearing up for a full run at IHRA in pro nitrous and then the Franklins stuck that into the sale contract of VMP. PDRA only has 7 races so now they limited where racers can go. they consider it a "premier" class but I don't think they even had a full field except maybe 1 race last year. most were 10 -12 cars for a 16 car field per event in pro nitrous. So for one association to put stipulations out limiting racers from running other organizations is total BS! they also gave a couple people crap for going to an IHRA race last year that run in pro boost !

I think it’s more about survival of the PDRA. Franklin is no dummy. IHRA can pay more than PDRA can. He realizes that he would lose most of the PN cars to IHRA and kill his series. IHRA willingly agreed to it so I guess they are fine with it as well. IMO, the PDRA will unfortunately be gone in the near future.

well it was definitely a bad move as a couple of pro nitrous cars are talking about selling off their nitrous combos and a couple have changed their cars to boosted combos and told me it was so they could race whenever and wherever they wanted. I give PDRA 1 maybe 2 years and PDRA will be closed up. also a couple of boost teams say they are done with PDRA as well. this move also hurt 1 engine builder I know that had 3 brand new 997 nitrous motors on order and when this bs came out, the customers canceled their motors.
