I FINALLY have a new nephew

Diego, born today at 4:16. 8 pounds 15.4 ounces and 20.5 inches long.

He was born with the cord wrapped tight around his neck and came out purple and bruised so they are keeping an eye on him.

As of 7:00, they were monitoring his oxygen levels closely because they were going up and down. So prayers will be appreciated.

In all fairness to Diego, the doctors put the delay in his box when he tried to come in January. That was WAY too early, so his Momma was on bedrest and meds to stop the contractions.

His sisters both came 4 weeks early, but 8-9 weeks would have put him in the NICU.

Thanks ya'll. My brother Fred said they are still giving Diego some oxygen to help him and he's got a bit of a black eye. The monitors never really indicated a cord around his neck so tight and it never ceases to amaze me how long the cords are either as it was wrapped three times.

It was also our first experience with Cryobanking of the cord blood. They donated the baby's cord blood for either research or a transplant for people with blood cancers.

I have 11 neices and nephews now, the boys are in the lead now with 6, so he was the tie breaker.
