How quick and fast- Friday Topeka edition.

He picked up 51.15 when he went 329.50 in Pomona at the finals last year also. They can sure make power!

Just got home from an amazing day, I am so keyed up I can't go to sleep! 2000 foot air on a 78 degree racetrack shows if you get any kind of decent air at all, HPT puts up the numbers. I'm sure glad it's still on the schedule! Personal highlights for me:
1/Scott Palmer's way all-time best 3.87. The crowd really responded to this low-buck team's celebratory reaction. They looked like they had just won the whole race!
2/Terry McMillan's way all-time best 3.76. No need to recap the trials and tribulations of this team. Terry and Rob Wendland are two of the real good guys of the sport.
3/The absolute science-fiction speeds of the floppers. What is it about this track and funny cars?
4/On most of the runs the engines were "happy". The worst incident was John Force scraping up the shiny on his new Camaro SS.

Saturday high 72 degrees....could we see more?

a 3.80 something to be in top half of fc....amazing, rare session. not surprised to see it happen @ hpt.
also congrats to brian stewart with career best 4.065 in 1st rnd. loss to hagan

to think last year at this time chad ran 3.96 for #1 @ hpt and cruz ran the same @ englishtown
