Teams had to cut off the back of their trailers becaus California passed a law a few years ago on total length.

Well, In the state of California, Having a longer trailer than the law states has been known to cause Cancer.

Long trailers cause more environment problems-roads are to small for big trailers- Calif. seeks more money to send long trailers to act as new border wall-more news to come at Feb. 30 stand by

Trump announced because cancer causing agents are so prevalent in all of California's objects and materials, he's decided an emergency exists to extend the wall across the eastern border.....
effectively sealing CA off from the sane states ~:)~

I think someone should weld some titanium plates around your hands so you can't type.

That pic of a JFR trailer is a 53' Featherlite spread axle. After some of the teams whacked 3' off the back end V Gaines got a bill in to legislation and it passed so now you can buy a permit for the 56' trailers. We have a 53' tandem axle but we have a set back king pin so that we are in compliance with the California bridge law.

Wow was it that got busted and his trailer got cited for length. I remember it got lifted onto a larger trailer. This was about 7-10 yrs ago

We were in Las Vegas when NHRA sent out e-mails and texts telling all of the teams that they had received a notice from California stating that they knew the teams were in Las Vegas and that we would be heading to Pomona next and that they would issue a citation and make any team with a 56' trailer ship it on a lowboy back out of the state. Most of the teams left Vegas on Sunday night so they could be at the track before the scales opened up Monday morning. It's to bad the driver of that one didn't.

oh cool that a competition trailer right
I don't remember but I will ask Chris the driver of it tomorrow if I remember. You can't actually see the trailer in that pic but you can see the awning sides.
