When do you get into town Joe? I am planning on getting to the track by 1pm as long as the meetings I have Friday morning runs smoothly.

Paul, my flight gets into Hobby around 9:30 AM Friday, going straight to the track! That new Freeway Exit has made getting in and out of that place SOO much easier!

Joe, I got into Baytown last Thursday and the weather has been awesome, all except the thunder storm on Friday night that kept us from going out to the track and watching the street legals run. It ls suppose to be in the low to mid 80's next weekend. cya when you get here.

That would be fun. We will be staying at the Spring hill suites Marriott on the 10 close to Baytown. But we are not checking in there until Wed. We are at the Flying J right now. We are going to get the truck washed tomorrow, and then we are going to park the truck at the track on Wed. Do you know where there is a welding supply shop where we can get a couple of co2 bottles filled, that is close to the track? I was thinking that there is an air gas shop on 146, but I'm not sure.

Make sure your rental car has a toll tag, Exit 799 is now a short toll road (I think most rental car companies provide for toll tags nowdays).

We are looking forward to running top dragster next weekend. Most of us just got back from a Divisional in Dallas/Ennis.

Weather man seems to be being kind to all of us ... so for the NWS technical discussion is saying they won't even indicate a chance of rain until the Monday following the Spring Nationals.

In prior nationals we've tended to run before either Pro Mod or the Alky cars ... man they show the alky cars starting at 10:30am on Friday. And then there is a huge gap before the Pro Mods start.

Now If I can just go back out there and figure out that Equalizer tongue jack ...

Eugene, not sure about one on 146 but I know Coastal should be able to help you. They are in Baytown not to far (281) 422-9418. Let me know which night is best for yall and where you wanna go, and I will be there.

Oh Man...If it's a Toll off of the 10 its gonna be just as F'd up as 146! God I hope not....

Joe, it is a toll road now. However, its still the easiest and fastest way in and out of the track. Especially now, bc alot of people dont have the toll tag so they have to go in the other way which means its going to be even more packed. And just fyi, its not a toll way where you can pull up and pay. You can only use it if you have a tag, there is no attendant.

Joe, your rental car should allow you to use the toll way and they will just charge the credit card you have on file with the rental company (they use the license plate to know where to send the bill). If you live in Houston EZ Tag saves you a ton of time. What is the best way to get in? Last year Joe you had me coming in some back way right off of 10 and that was the first time I have ever set foot in Houston. The traffic was easy in and out last year, so I would like to have the same this year.

Paul that is the tollway. Only other way into the track is from 146 and its one lane each way and it backs up something fierce.

Justin I thought the Toll gate was South of the track, is it just off I-10? Man Sat-Sun mornings might be pretty early, especially if it backs up to the Off ramp of 10!
