Hillary Will's Car sold???

I saw on the Aussie Board that Hillary's Car was bought by an Aussie Racer. Can anybody confirm?

Even if it is I wouldn't panic until you see all the stuff for sale. As you know Joe, it's not unusual to sell cars at the end of the year.

it's very possible they could have dumped one or more of the old chassis'..... people do it all the time..... It's good for Attac to get some more exposure out there, too

At the Finals I spoke to Hillary and she wasn't to optimistic about '09! I hope this isn't the end of her run.

How long do you suppose KB wants to continue paying out of pocket for this hobby? I hate to see her parked too, but it don't look good.

Amen to that -- no matter how well invested/diversified he is, being the number one home builder in Las Vegas is not a good place to be right now...

I really hope she is is out there some how next year. In all my years of racing she is one of the friendliest I have ever met and she is my daughters absolute favorite driver. Accoring to my daughter she's her #1 fan but I bet there are tons of other little girls claiming the same thing.


Good luck and I wouldn't read too much into the car sell. Happens all the time plus it's way to early to be throwing the towell in on next season.

What Paul said.... and i believe Gary Denshams car he is taking over is also to be sold.... this happens almost every year doesn't it?

If it's still like it was 20 yrs ago, you take the car apart, ship everything you'll need in two containers and get it through customs as parts. By leaving the car and parts there, you don't have to pay shipping back. Whoever buys the car will have to pay duty on his purchase. I'm sure one of our guys in Aussie land can correct me if I'm wrong.

I thought Ken Black said a few months ago he wouldn't run '09 without sponsorship. I'm pretty sure I read that as a direct quote somewhere.

I don't care how stout you are, spending 2-3 Mil a year of your own money can hurt, especially when we are in an environment when the money isn't coming easy, for most businesses. Remember, KB still has 2 top-level PS cars he's funding, Summit does not foot the whole bill for that program. Now, I also don't think KB will sell everything, if you are optimistic about landing something in the future, even if it's a year or 2 away, it makes sense to get rid of the cars, but keep all the support equipment, which is a huge initial expense when starting a team.

Hillary will run with the sponsor see had, Palm Beach Resorts or whatever and as far as Densham, he will be racing the Austalian season this coming year. Larry Dixon is going to AJ.

Densham is racing 2 events in January in Brisbane.
Willowbank Raceway, and the event sponsor have paid for him to come out.
He's not racing here all year however as you suggest (would be a cool feature though!)

Thanks for clarifying that. I heard from one of Snakes crew today that he was going to run the whole circuit. I sure would like to go there some day, my Rock Quarry Superintendant made a couple of trips to Austrailia and said it was awesome. I paid my people well!! BK

Since you mention it, was isn't sold here in the states usually ends up in Aussieland! I just hope KB finds some funding...

Correct me if I am wrong but I was under the impression that Palm Beach Resorts was only on board for the last few races of 2008.......

I really hope that she is able to find some sponsorship for '09 because with Tony & Alan parting ways she may have a legitimite shot at the championship
