Help find 'Big Noise II' and win an NHRA Nationals package

(July 12, 2010) - Join racers and motorsports fans throughout the country in a determined search by go2geiger.com - Radioactive Drag Racing News to locate racing legend Don Miller’s beloved 1962 Chevrolet Nova II named “Big Noise II.” From his new book, Miller’s Time - a Lifetime of Speed - comes this plea: “Find my hot rod.”

Don Miller's 1962 Chevy Nova II named Big Noise II
Last known whereabouts, circa 1980s, was Minnesota. Big Noise II was sold to a drag racer prior to that in Missouri. It could be anywhere now. There are no doubt clues in the book that may just help you be the one finding his treasure.

The plan is to find the dragster and have it for him at the 29th Annual Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals, set for Aug. 12-15 at Brainerd International Raceway. The person contacting Phillip Gary Smith via email ( [email protected] This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , subject: Finding Big Noise II) with the location details and all necessary contact information will win an expanding prize pack of two tickets to the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals (or any other NHRA race) as guests of Morgan Lucas Racing with Top Fuel stars Morgan Lucas and Shawn Langdon. Plus, you will receive a signed, personalized edition of Don Miller’s new book, the best racing book of the year, Miller’s Time - a Lifetime of Speed.

Miller will privately negotiate the buyback of his hot rod. Miller, winner of the 2007 NASCAR Humanitarian of the Year Award, drag raced throughout the Midwest in his youth. He loved the sport so much he almost missed his wedding because of a drag race. Joining Roger Penske in racing and auto parts marketing, Don Miller developed teams and stars like Rusty Wallace and Ryan Newman. Penske noted, “Don has always been an innovator and clever thinker. I think it is a result of his drag racing background where you had to be creative to win.”

For all Miller has done for the sport of racing, race fans can find his hot rod. Read the article/book review at Radioactive Drag Racing News under the Media Matters column heading
