Looks like the V and H bunch have opened the throttle to 3/4. Kinda think that bike could run in the low 6.70's at 200+ with the leash off. So when do the great unwashed get a chance to buy that combo?
I could be confused, but didn't Matt Smith set the record with a Suzuki at a 6.86 before Andrew reset the record today? It looks like the Harley's are outperforming field from the 330 to half track and they are caring the faster half track speed the rest of the way down the track. Congrats to the Vance and Hines teams for working hard on their new engine combination. If I were them I would hold back until the Countdown, then unleash the full potential of the new combo. If they start outperforming the field I would expect to see extra weight heading their way.

So...uh....when can I get a billet 4 valve belt timed 3000cc monster from my local Harley dealer? I didn't see it in one of the gazillion catalogs Harley wastes its money on.
The same day you can buy a 500" Chevy, Pontiac or Mopar at your local dealership.

You can buy a 500 cubic inch engine off the showroom floor for chevrolet but im not too sure about Pontiac or Mopar. But they arent pushrod engines with carburetion thats for sure.
They are still sand bagging... I ran Andrew all 3 pass's and he would roll off in the lights.. No 1/4 mile speed. We made a damn good pass in q3. We might could have ran 1 hundreth quicker but thats it... They I was 3rd on the backhalf the 2 harleys were 1&2 and andrew outran me 2.7 hundreths just down the backhalf... In our class thats about 25 to 30 ponys more... And they still haw more left. I know NHRA was hurting for money this year but I guess Harley gave enough to get what they wanted... I think it is a joke to let them run this new motor... The old **** was fast enough.... Go back to that old **** if you want to impress us.. I could go on and on but I have to go to the track....
