Hagan On Fire... Literally!

April 24, 2007 - Christiansburg, VA--Matt Hagan and crew picked up some great forward momentum last weekend at the Spring Nationals presented by Advance Auto Parts and Castrol at Rockingham Dragway, before their weekend was cut short by an unexpected fire.

"We qualified in the top half of the field and we were really making some
progress," said Hagan. "Winning the first round was exactly the jolt we needed, but I could have done without the fire in the second round." Hagan's
car caught fire in the rear end during the second elimination round, knocking him out of the competition.

Hagan laid down a qualifying time of 6.194 at 227.96 mph, placing him 7th in
the 16 car field. In his first elimination round Hagan beat out Chip King's
'69 Daytona to advance to the second round, where he faced off against Steve Vick and was eliminated due to an electrical fire.

With renewed confidence Hagan and crew will take the lanes this weekend in
Atlanta in the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals. Log on to
