In 2007, Matt Hagan will have an all-new engine and blower setup courtesy of Mike Janis and Jan-Cen Racing Engines.
"Mike and I have decided to work together in 2007," explains Hagan. We'll be running all Jan-Cen motor/blower combos."
"Matt did a phenomenal job in his rookie season and we are looking forward to working with his team in 2007," comments Janis. "We have been doing countless hours of research and development at Jan-Cen and the numbers will show that in 2007. The engine program will stronger than ever, jaws will
definitely be dropping."
Hagan and Janis will share crew resources and data, each contributing to the further development the Jan-Cen engine program.
"Our goal next year is to finish 1 and 2 in the IHRA pro mod tour," Janis says. "With these two great teams helping one another it will definitely be possible."
Matt Hagan was the 2006 NHRA AMS Pro Modified Rookie of the Year. Matt will be returning in 2007 to run the full IHRA and NHRA schedule with a Jan-Cen powered 1968 Camaro.
Mike Janis is a 2-time Pro Modified World Champion and his team has finished in the top 5 in IHRA points for the past 6 years running.
Jan-Cen Motorsports has been working with racing engines of one type or another since 1958. They are located in Elma, New York.
