Hagan And Crew Ready For Competition at Tulsa

RADFORD, VIRGINIA--After three consecutive events of qualifying near the top of the field in national Pro Modified competition, Matt Hagan and crew were eager to arrive at Tulsa Raceway Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma to compete in this weekend's IHRA Skull Shine Inaugural Sooner Nationals.

"We're very excited," says Matt Hagan. "We haven't been so pumped up about an event in as long as I can remember. I guess the weekend off and the good results we've been getting have made everyone really eager to get back out there and race."

Hagan and crew have made great positive strides in the past month since the beginning of the season. "We've been qualifying really well," explains Matt. "I think we'll be in the top half of the field again."

Hagan has managed to qualify his 1968 TORCO Accelerator Camaro into the top half of the field in the past three national events, but is still looking for a breakthrough in competition rounds. "We're making great progress and that's bound to pay off," explains Hagan. "We'll just keep chiseling away at it and sooner or later we're bound to end up in a final, or getting that big first win."

Pro qualifying begins on Friday, May 25 at 6:30 PM, resumes on Saturday, May 26 at noon, and eliminations begin on Sunday May 27 at 10:30 AM.
