Great Article (6 Viewers)

I couldn't agree more Nunzio. From my perspective (35 year fan, former bracket racer and armchair crewchief extraordinaire), the racing, the storylines, the personalities and the access are at an all-time high. I do miss a lot of things about what "was" in many forms of drag racing. But even as an old guy, there are so many ways to get my fix, that I consider it a blessed time in drag racing. To have NHRA, IHRA, Heritage Series, TX2K, NHRA Divisionals, Funny Car Chaos hold events all within 2-3 weeks of each other and have healthy car counts, people in the stands, great competition and plenty of media coverage can only be a good thing!

I also miss a lot of things from the old days, but it's not just drag racing. What aspect of our lives hasn't changed over the decades? And it's funny, I do see many posts on FB and such about how F1 isn't the same anymore, NASCAR, football, etc. So I choose to embrace the positives about today's drag racing. I guess the needle is too far in... 😄
