(7-6-2007) EDMONTON, AL – In front of what promises to be the biggest audience in the history of the Rocky Mountain Nationals in Edmonton, Alberta; Danny Rowe and the rest of the superstars from the International Hot Rod Association will do battle over the quarter-mile as the points battle in every professional eliminator rages on. Rowe, currently 3rd in the Pro Modified, anticipates a big weekend for the Unfinished Business team as the IHRA Nitro Jam invades his home country.
“It’s always nice to go back to the country you grew up in and race in front of the Canadian fans,” explained Rowe. “Castrol Raceway is a beautiful place and there is already a great deal of talk regarding the record-setting pre-race ticket sales. That’s great for the sport and great for all of the sponsors we have on board. Right now we’re 37 points out of first place and need to go rounds – plain and simple.”
The competition in the IHRA Pro Modified ranks is as fierce as ever and simply can’t be taken lightly by any competitor. The IHRA’s last outing in Tulsa proved that anyone on the qualifying sheet is capable of winning as evident by Pat Stoken’s dominating performance in Oklahoma.
“We have proven that we are capable of winning races and we’re always right in the thick of things. We just haven’t been able to capitalize when we need to,” explained Rowe. “We’re making strides and I know that we’re good enough to beat anyone that lines up next to us and now is the time to start showing what we’ve got.”
“Edmonton is a great fit for our team and the companies we work with,” Rowe said. “I’m a Calgary-native and I’m excited to see some friends and family that will come out.”
