Lookin good, especially friday, let's get a survey, How many nat'l records are falling this weekend?

I say first 6.40 Ps and 6.70 Motorcycle coming up, Manzo hopefully will Take back the record from T-Bone, I could see TF & FC records also falling, I don't think the quickest run ever is going to happen.

Whatcha ya'll think?

3.99 or 3.98 is possible in FC, probably Cruz or Neff

And I agree, Manzo gets one or two hundredths better than Bartone:D

There is no night session at Gainesville, so I don't see records falling, but it will be a tight field.....perhaps around a 4.18 bump for FC and 3.92 or so for TF (similar to what we saw in Pomona, but a little quicker). Good luck to all the teams, I wish I was going to be there!

Go Team Dakin!!

Highs in the low to mid 70's, lows in the mid to high 40's, sunny no chance of rain. Looks good to me!!!!;) Oh and Mike, we will miss you and I'll be cheering on Dakin!!!!

I agree with Mike, I don't see records falling. The conditions sound like they may be good – but not great like we had in Pomona. All in all it should be a real good race.

Ill be in the low .90s maybe even a .88 or .87. Its not the record but I'm there and going down the track:D:D:D

Super Comp #1107

I was there in 07-08 when it was COLD! Pro stock and Comp Eliminator put on a Clinic all weekend! The air was minus 300' corrected, if it gets anywhere near 70 degrees I wouldn't look for any records!

I don't get it why the events are dropping guaranteed night sessions for "Late Afternoon/Evening" sessions and if you are lucky you'll get a night session, sometimes good like those who have their stoppages in the right moment that makes the pros run later like in 2008 in E-Town where Pro Mod first session ran like an hour because of a couple clean ups and FC ran their first cars at about a little after 8pm when Scott Kalitta made his last good run and had the minor flash under the car that was nothing sometimes bittersweet because of the long delay like last year due to Neal Parker's crash got the pro stock motorcycles and pro stocks running much later and thus having those big time runs in the primo conditions. NHRA wants to make the fan experience better, make night sessions a constant at all events that allow it, that'll get the fans in for sure.

I agree, the fans should be the priority, I say night sessions on both Friday and Saturday nights.

Personnett is the quickest doorslammer period after a 5.80 run at the Shakedown, he's goin in the 70s this year, maybe Shakedown at E-Town 2011 will be it another historical moment for rrrrRaceway Park!

Yep! And what's crazy, if you look at Brad's speed at the top end, he was right around 245, down from the 255 he had been running. He hurt the engine at the top end and clicked it off just a tad early. He would have been in the 70's with that run, no doubt.

Brad will be a force to be reckoned with this year. A clear contender for the GSA title. That series will be dog-eat-dog this year.

and whats really interesting is the car count, 22 in Comp, well Division 2 is not a really Hearty Division when it comes to comp, Divisionals barely have 16 cars more often than not, but when there are more Pro Stocks than Comp cars, that's not good, hopefully by the next Division 2 Regioned national event in Atlanta (ZMax 4 Wide doesn't have Comp) we get more than this and hopefully Ackerman makes his first appearance as the Champ, I hear we're not gonna see the little 4 Cylinder Dragster this year...

They bumped them down from 91mm to 88mm turbos in an attempt to slow them down and they're still going mid 5.80's just in testing.

Which tells me it could be after this race! Depends on how they do on Sunday, qualifying alone won't count for much, unless the Turbos are at the top.
