Fuel Car warm up (1 Viewer)

I was at last couple events and noticed when a lot of the fuel cars cleared the motors before hitting the Mags on the warm up they would take a blow gun and blow air threw or on somthing. I just could not tell, Any crew guys or tuners out there that may know?

If the engine was shut off they were most likely blowing all residual fuel out of the barrel valves and lines.

Thats my thought too but after about 20 seconds they started the motor no way they had any time to take any lines loose. I know all the A Fuelers do it but it was just so quick. It was like they cleared it then blew it for 5 seconds or so then hit it.

We used to blow the fuel out of the pipes with a blow gun before we pulled the motor through before starting the car if we had the shut he car down and restart in the pits. If this occurred on the line, we would pull the motor through the clear the cylinders. I've seen motors that have granaded on start when folks didn't clear the motor.
