Four Wide at the Strip

Gay Gay Gay and not the happy kind. If you want to see f lane drag racing lets have them start a new league. I don't think (other than some good and exciting exabitions) that their is anyroom for 4 lane racing in NHRA Drag Racing and i only hope that'll soon be relized.

I wonder why you had to put that on a personal basis. Doesn't he have just as much right to express his opinion as you without ridicule. You should know that it makes you seem a bit insecure.

Don't worry, I hear ya. I've never been to Vegas, and I doubt I ever will now. This 4 lane crap is such a gimmick. Zzzzzzzzzz.

I often thought Bruton Smith did some wonderful things for drag racing, but I'm not on board with this 4-wide deal. It doesn't interest me in the least. For me, between the 1000' "1/4 mile", and the potential of a 4-lane track at my favorite facility, NHRA and Bruton are doing a fine job of causing disinterest on my part.

The format for this 4 way deal needs to change. Although I guess it goes along with the pu....um wimpification of our sport.

No longer is it a put up or shut up fire your best shot sport. We have a championship system that proves you don't even have to win to be a champ and with the 4 way format you can lose rounds yet still win the race. Why don't we just hand a trophy to everyone after the race for trying their hardest....

Took the words right out of my mouth, Mark. I have no doubt that the exhibition last year was a cool thing to witness, but I think it needs to stay that way.......................exhibition only.

In the past people were crapping on NHRA for stifling innovation and not allowing anything new....

....And now the same people are crapping on NHRA for coming out with something innovative and new.

Make up your damn minds, people!

so if they decided to have everyone race backwards that would be ok because it is new and innovative and dare I say...outside the box???

Just because its different doesn't mean its good or right.

I loved being there last year to see it as an exhibition and while I am willing to see this play out, I'm very doubtful

I think by innovation they were meaning with the cars themselves.
