Force didn't move when the light turned green

She said she has had problems with the brakes before.
I'm surprised daddy let her even sit in the car before knowing the brakes were operating at 100%.

The car rolled the beams, she was DQ'd so she didn't really have any other option other than abort the run because the run wouldn't have counted anyway.

Rolling the beams or not, they could have gotten data! So yes, smart move to abort the run with limited brakes.

Good point, but it wouldn't be the first time someone has drove it to the other end after a DQ and end up blowing it up or wrecking.

Just saw it on ESPN3.......she didn't just roll the beams, she ROLLED the beams!! About 5 feet by!

She did roll today to a 3.845 and is in the qualified top 12@12. She is now the quickest force in history as John has never been that quick in a F/C ;)

Interesting that she says it happened before. So does that mean on THAT particular car, or previous rides..... the plot thickens. And like someone said - I know these are machines and machines break; but if it happened before with this top fueler, I too am hard pressed to believe they'd put her up there. Always good to see new faces driving the loud skinny cars.

From what I understand, it's not just the chutes that stop the car. I would NOT want to cross the stripe at 300mph without brakes, especially with a short runoff like Pomona!!
