A 'Muslim-Friendly' America?

Islamofascism: You would think 9/11 would have marginalized militant Muslims. But it's only emboldened them. Now they're demanding foot-baths in restrooms — and getting them!

The latest appeasement comes courtesy of the Kansas City International Airport. PC-mad authorities there, supposedly on high alert for Islamic terrorists, have built a place of worship for Islamic taxi drivers.

The cabbies complained it was hard to wash their feet and other body parts before praying to Allah in the existing kaffir bathrooms. So the airport added four individual foot-washing benches, complete with knee-high faucets, drains and handrails, as first reported in WorldNetDaily.

What's next, prayer-rug cleaning? Box-cutter dispensers?

"Will demands stop with this? Unfortunately, they will not," laments Jihad Watch founder Robert Spencer.

"This will encourage the cab drivers to behave in accord with Sharia (Islamic law) — as the Minneapolis cabbies have already begun doing with their refusal to transport people carrying alcohol."

Most of the taxi drivers at the Minneapolis airport, as in Kansas City, practice Islam, which forbids alcohol. So many impose their will on passengers.

One parent recently was riding home from the Minneapolis airport with two children. After casually mentioning he had wine in his luggage, his Muslim driver summarily dumped him and his kids on the street in the dark of night.

If you think that's bad, blind passengers can get the same treatment. Muslims also don't like dogs, which Islam views as unclean.

So some drivers refuse even the blind if they're guided by a seeing-eye dog.

Minneapolis authorities tolerated this intolerance for years until news of it hit national talk radio and sparked an outcry. Only last month did they threaten to fine Muslim cabbies who refuse such passengers. Some cabbies are daring them to enforce it.

Seems officials are already feeling guilty about it. They just held a job fair for the Muslim cab drivers in the hopes they'll take other jobs at the airport.

The same airport is considering adding prayer rooms at terminals for Muslims after the infamous "flying imams" scared passengers by loudly praying to Allah at a US Airways gate, mimicking the behavior of the 9/11 hijackers.

Colleges also are coping with cheeky Muslims.

Minneapolis Community and Technical College, a state-run university, plans to install foot baths for Muslim students. It explains the Islamic foot-washing ritual is a growing practice on campus, and students complained about slipping while washing their feet in sinks.

Yet the same school last year banned a campus coffee cart from playing Christmas carols.

Several other colleges across the country have already modified restrooms for Muslims, thanks to a post-9/11 campaign by the Muslim Student Association to make campuses "Muslim friendly."

In addition to foot baths, MSA, an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood, is demanding prayer rooms, mosques, paid imams, halal cafeteria food, separate athletic facilities for Muslim women and segregated dorms for all Muslim students.

Muslim-friendly? Sounds more like Muslim-only to us. Is this where we're headed?

Sounds like sme people need to make better choices concerning their life activities (like work and school). I can't imagine asking any of my "bosses" for special treatment because of my personal religious beliefs... Oh maybe a holiday or two that wasn't on the schedule, but to change a physical plant or work schedule to accomodate my needs? As a supposedly "free" country I am free to change my employment status to accomodate my beliefs. I see no reason to burden an employer with this type of BS.

However, from a business perspective... If there is a particularly large percentage of my customer's demographic that could benefit from something "special", and if my business wanted to attract them, I would certainly run some numbers to see if special accomodations would be in the best interest my the organization.

For example... Two airports who are in competition for business, and limited cab driver resources, and 80% of the cabbies are Muslim... I would certainly think about implementing extra ammenities to keep them at my airport and negotiate with them to provide a higher level of service to people carrying alcohol and dogs in exchange for extra consideration...

I have no idea about the details of these particular instances but I do know the general press often appreciates an opportunity to make a mountain out of a molehill.

When the so-called Moderate Muslims start demanding an end to terrorism by the Extremists I'll support foot baths in airports! They just sit and hide like cowards while demanding an end to racial profiling all the while not saying a peep about all the radicals out there blowing up innocent people!

And you'd be playing right into the hands for the muslim's plan to take over the world. Your choice.

I didn't read that as anything other then reporting the news. No mole hill to make a mountain out of.

Just my opinion...

I don't like it any more than anyone else, and it certainly wasn't a group of Catholic Priests who flew into the twin towers... And what I really dislike is ANY group making demands on business based on their personal beliefs, when those beliefs are personal and have nothing to do with their work.

However business decisions are sometimes made that appear contrary to what many people want but are made in the best interest of the business and not for the 50,000 foot perspective.

That's all I was trying to point out.

Sorry Ted. I believe in this day and age, businesses should be making decisions in the best interest of our country. We are in a battle for our very right to exist as a free nation. If you don't see that as a reality, I'm sure the next attack will help some.

I did not say that I thought the decision is correct or not... I just commented that a business has a responsibility to remain viable for its employees and shareholders and unfortunately sometimes that can make for some extremely difficult ethical decisions.

I sadly admit to having as much mis-trust as anyone when it comes to certain extreme religious groups and this does bother me.

I remember my Mom saying things about the Japanese that I had a difficult time reconciling. Of course she had lived through WW2, lost classmates in the war, married a war veteran, and remembered food rations for our citizens and "lights out" rules. It affected her greatly and she never completely got over it despite all of her best efforts to forgive and move on.

When i find myself slipping into that preconceived space in my brain I try and think of Muhammed Ali and what he represents to so many of us, and how he stood up for his convictions. He is a far from perfect man but he serves as a reminder to myself that we are all individuals and to me that is an important distinction when reading about someone else's decision(s).

Well, if they can have footbaths, then I want a little dish of Holy Water in the airport too so I can dip my finger in it and genuflect! Seems like a fair trade off! They had just better not wash their feet in it!

not really. read this
glenn beck did a story on this the other night.
"PBS Station Nixes Show On Terrorism - Forward.com"

without rambling on, if this show (PBS commissioned) can't find another
network (private or otherwise) to air this story to the american public;
we're in a sad state of affairs.
