that was probably the coolest thing to happen at an NHRA nat. event
since KB went 300mph.............and bruton's got it in his back pocket.

don't think this will be the last time this 32,000hp exhibition will be
staged.......2x annually now.

what would be cool is if Bruton can turn this into new 'shootout' cash
races for FC and TF and come up with 4-wide format for big dough.

FC at spring race and TF at fall race........or something like that.

The only real value in this would seem to me, to be in using the 4-wide format to dispose of the 128-car Super Gas/Super Comp fields in short order.

Think how quickly you could run through that 256-car, time-eating, debacle.

If nobody in Bruton's camp has thought of this, and the monumental time-saving value it could have, shame on them!!!

The "circus" value of running 4 fuel cars at a time pales in comparson to the value of the practical application of using it to run the multitudinous ".90 cars" off in a reasonable amount of time, for once.

I'm not too sure that's what "P.T. Bruton" had in mind, when he envisioned this spectacle, but it sure would work for me!!!:)

Bill

Agreed....for TF/FC only watching 4 sets of cars per session would be too quick! But for the Sportsman classes that is the way to go!

To leave more time for the Geico guys to shoot t-shirts into the crowd and have Full Throttle chugging contests. Great idea...

You know, you're right...:)

I'd rather watch T-Shirt cannons than active throttle stop cars, any day!

I rather watch sportsmans cars on 2 lanes then watching them on four. :)
They (sportsmans classes) eliminations start on Friday, sometimes Saturday so what you are saying run eliminations 4 wide on Sunday. Like I said countless times, I go to watch all classes, not just the fuel cars(which is down the list of my favorite classes).
Besides if they run them 4 wide, that will cut down the times y'all need go buy t-shirts, hamburger, and get John Force's autograph.
