What a damn shame, not a nitrous car in the field. Hopefully they will do something smart to level the playing field for the nitrous cars. This is not what Pro Mod started out as but it has evolved into to a Jr. AFC class.

What's your take on it. Have the Blower cars found more power or did the conditions there favor them?
Knock off 50 well placed pounds and the nitrous cars can pick up appx. 5/100ths if the situation is systemic. JMO

Take a look back and you'll see that the blower cars do better in the spring and fall, when temps are down. During the summer, the nitrous cars get the advantage.

But that didn't happen this year; did it Jim????

Combining different aspiration systems into one class will always invite some disparity. It's factoring in the difference that will make the two equal that's a huge problem.
It's akin to sawing off a tables leg to get it even. JMO

Not this year. Blower cars made more gains that NOS cars, that excuse didn't pan out this time.

Only a couple NOS cars were "competitive" this year, and thats a shame. Unfortunately, something needs to be done to maintain the integrity of the class, however I believe it may be too late.

Also, regarding the question about weight, most NOS guys will tell you that they cannot get down to min weight as it is.

First 5 sec pro mod

A little off topic for the thread, but going with pro mod in Rockingham theme just saw on drag race central:

Hernandez went a 5.990 at 236.8.

Hopefully, the rule changes will slow the blower guys enough that, with their extra cubes, the nitrous cars will be more competitive. Pro Mod needs nitrous versus blower. The ADRL is great, but it is not true Pro Mod racing to me. When you separate the classes, while they are fun to watch, it is almost like alky funnies with doors and pro stocks with nitrous. However, when you put them together, you have my favorite class in drag racing. Kinda like chocolate and peanut butter, vodka and tonic, you get the point.
