Great news for the Div. 7 racers. We'll have a much better track to go along with terrific hospitality for the racers:

Top Gun Raceway Improvements

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
4/8/2008

The racing surface at Top Gun Raceway in Fallon, Nev., has been upgraded. The concrete launchpad was profiled and ground to the 300-foot mark, and the remainder of the racing surface was seal-coated, including the shutdown area. More than $30,000 worth of improvements were made during the winter months to racing surface and other amenities in anticipation of this year’s Division 7 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event and the Division 7 NHRA Summit Racing Series Finals. Track officials credited Penhall Co., A&K Earthmovers, and Top Gun Raceway volunteers with helping complete the project.

Nor Cal Top Dragster is going to have thier first races at Fallon on May 24-25 so I will be curious to see what people think of the upgrades.

When you take into account the staff and volunteers at Top Gun, it's easily one of the Top 5 tracks on the west coast in my opinion!

I have always had a great time at Fallon. Both at the track and in town. The very friendly small town atmosphere is refreshing in today's hussel-bussel world. Great view of the valley from off the hill too!

It's been tough on the high horse power cars in the past, but this looks to be much better!

Just be sure to be driving the speed limit when approaching Fallon, major speed trap and they will nail you for driving 2 over.
