If you have a few minutes, click on the track links in foreign countries, then click on the various galleries. Interesting to see what the rest of world is drag racing with.

I've driven by Kanawha many times on Route 35 going from West Virginia into southeast Ohio or back.

The track web site redirected to Howell Automotive. There doesn't appear to be any current info for the track though.
Howell Automotive is on one of the track signs in the photos, so maybe someone there knows when it was abandoned.
