take a look at qual. sheets from indy for stock and super stock.
plenty of late model cars towards the top with their showdown running
today (thursday) @ indy.....am glad to see nhra providing this showdown.
I think the fans enjoy these cars more than some might think

had 25 yr. old son w/@ BIR 2 weeks ago - hadn't been for 7 years.
watching 1st & 2nd rnd. of stock on saturday he was drawn exclusively to
late model stockers, and made a point to inspect closer while roaming pits.
he very much identified with the race version of the cars he sees daily.

As a 2010 Camaro owner myself I loved finally seeing a late model GM car other than a Cobalt coverted to RWD. Too bad it took them so damn long to get back in.
