Got a bunch of pics at Englishtown this weekend (Fri and Sun).

If anyone knows how I can get an "in" to be one of those guys on the side in #4, please let me know.

Wow!

Steve -Just beautiful! I assume you're a professional photographer?

The clarity of the Gecko is amazing.

What kind of camera, lens, etc were you using?

Gosh, those were really enjoyable to look at. Thanx, man!
I can't decide which one is my favorite.
Either the Jeg's P/S withthe light reflecting off the roof, the Jim Head funny car, or the Alexis DeJoria alky funny car.

Great shots. Thanx again.

Thank you very much. Nope, not a pro. Just a guy who enjoys photography and has a love for motorsports. I'd love to have better access, but for now, shooting from the stands is working just fine...

The camera is a Canon 7D and the lens is a 70-200 f/2.8L IS. They work great together. After years of shooting, I'm finally starting to get really sharp shots that I'm happy with.

Once more I'm left with nothing to say but WOW, Outstanding Shots.

Thank You
d'kid

miss my Browny and my Kodak 126 (wish my folks didn't can all my photos when I went overseas in '73)

Very, Very Nice Photos 2 Comments though.
1. Why would you want to be one of the guys in #4 Think of the people in the stands that want to see race cars and they get to see # 112,103,76,174,95,132,53 & 13. Your photos are really good from where they are. There is a small kid out there somewhere that only got to see the backs of photographers.
2. Theres more to Drag Racing then T/F, F/C, P/S & PSB. Take some photos of that too. Maybe you have and didn't post them.
If so My Apologies

John, thanks for the comments.

1... Not for better photos, so much... I just want to know what it's like to stand in that spot when a nitro car launches. :)

2... Agreed. I had my 10 year old son with me... he *really* likes hanging out in nitro alley to meet the drivers he knows from TV as well as to watch the crews and hear the roar. So unfortunately, I didn't get to spend much time shooting when other divisions were on track. I do love them though. I'm always stunned at the precision of the bracket racing. How someone can get the car to the finish line within a hundreth of a second of when they intend to get there is beyond me...

To everyone who commented... thank you very much for the extremely kind words.

-Steve

The color and clarity are amazing. I really enjoyed seeing them all. Thanks, so much, for sharing. :D:D:D

I love the pictures and thank you for sharing... but I keep looking at that Gecko and feel that he should be hanging on the the front fender well with the rest of his body flying out behind. I mean come on, standing up straight on a car that fast? What is he, a cartoon? ;) :p :D
