I could not help but notice that they were using Chevy and not Dodge and wondered why that would be.

so mopar bodies for capps, beckman and Hagen are only still in place why?
a) they're already fitted to their chassis?
b) contingency $?
does mopar still pay the highest contingency for nitro FC bodies?

I would assume becasue they have a bunch of them, and their only other option is to buy a Chevy or Toyota.

What difference does it make?

All they gotta do is slap different headlight tail light and grill decals on the front and back.

Problem solved.......

Its not as easy as slapping damn stickers on , I have seen pictures of the modern funny cars without paint and there are very obvious differances you just have to open your eyes .

Darr, I posted the question because every other camp has support trucks that follow the mfg of there bodies.;) But if you want to be smart about it maybe you can tell us what type of bvd's they wear.

I have to agree with william, the bodies are significantly different in style and appearance, but aerodynamically with as much power that the nitro funny cars are making, it is a superior design, almost like the dragster chassies, all of them look similarly the same because that structure is superior, but all are different in their own way.

This is my take on it. If anyone noticed...the Suburbans are licensed in,,,VIRGINIA...shelor.com is based in....VIRGINIA....hmmmm... I would say that maybe the Hagan dealerships provided the support vehicles for one, and for 2, you ever try to get 8 full size, sweaty crew guys in a Dodge Durango? I have, and it's not a pretty or aromatic process. The full size Suburbans make a ton more sense, especially considering there is no factory support coming forth from Chrysler. I don't know anything about the financial arrangements DSR has but thats just my take on it...

Tom, That makes sense although I did not see the plates. I know DSR does not have the MOPAR sponsor any more but thought they still had support.

IN the past.. many of the vehicles form the ADRL and IHRA were from the Shelor Company as well.....so that would be a reasonable explaination....
