DON SCHUMACHER RACING CHAMPION DRIVERS WILL SIGN AUTOGRAPHS AT NEW YORK, NEW YORK HOTEL/CASINO OCT. 28
Fans will have a chance to win tickets and hospitality passes to NHRA race at LVMS

LAS VEGAS (Oct. 21, 2010) - Fans attending the exclusive Don Schumacher Racing autograph session scheduled for 6-8 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 28, at the New York, New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas will have a chance to win some valuable prizes. They include two race-day tickets to the 10th annual NHRA Las Vegas Nationals on Oct. 31 and two VIP tickets to the DSR hospitality area at the track.

DSR drivers Tony Schumacher, Cory McClenathan, Antron Brown, Matt Hagan, Jack Beckman and Ron Capps, who have contributed to DSR's 149 national-event titles since 1998, will sign autographs in the lobby of the New York, New York Hotel and Casino. They will also help with a raffle and drawing for the above-mentioned prizes at 8 p.m. Winners must be present at the drawing.

NHRA racing fans are also welcome to visit the ROK night club at New York, New York on Thursday evening at 10:30 p.m., where they can get up close and personal with the drivers and other members of the Don Schumacher Racing team. (A cover charge applies.)

On display will be the U.S. Army Top Fuel dragster that seven-time Top Fuel champion Tony Schumacher races, and a DSR Funny Car sporting a specially-designed New York, New York Hotel and Casino paint scheme.

"This is a great opportunity for all of the DSR drivers to interact with their fans in a dynamic setting," said Matt Hagan, driver of the DieHard Dodge Funny Car, who is the class points leader. "It allows us to have some fun with the fans and not think about trying to win a championship."

"With the tight schedules these drivers have, it's quite an accomplishment to be able to round them up in the same area at the same time to meet and greet the fans," said team owner Don Schumacher. "And we are grateful to New York, New York Hotel and Casino for making this possible."

"We at New York, New York are thrilled to welcome back our friends from Don Schumacher Racing," added Cynthia Kiser Murphey, president/chief operating officer of New York, New York Hotel and Casino. "The atmosphere here is electric with the whole team hanging out with our guests.”

New York, New York Hotel and Casino is located at 3790 Las Vegas Blvd. South Las Vegas, NV 89109. The best entry to the autograph session is from the main lobby entrance at the valet parking area.

Maybe DSR has enough teams and clout to pull off their own "meet & greet" without NHRA's help? Does appear suspicious that the times are exactly the same, although you better be around at DSR's event at 8:00pm so you are present when they announce the winners of the giveaways. :D
