Round 1 and round 2 of Stock qualifying at Indy. Withdrew or not, he did not qualify.

There's a ton of back and forth on this on social media. The fact that it happened twice, in a row, is a little eye raising. I'm not sure if the track and atmospheric conditions changed much between the rounds, but if they were similar, one would think you'd get a similar result if you don't change course. Roy is certainly worthy of his status in the industry, however, I'm not sure what was trying to be proved on that second run. Maybe he didn't care about running the eliminator anyway. He has been largely unimpressive in NHRA competition with the factory cars.
