Dream House Gains Traction for Medically Fragile Children
NHRA Driver Melanie Troxel Plans Pre-race Visit with Dream House Kids

Snellville, Ga. (April 17, 2008) – Dream House for Medically Fragile Children, Inc. will host a special visit from NHRA Driver Melanie Troxel and her hot rod, the Dream House Funny Car, Tuesday, April 22, 2008 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Troxel will spend time with some of the medically fragile children Dream House serves, along with their families. This pre-race visit will take place at the Dream House corporate office in Snellville at 2092 Scenic Highway. Film crews will be on site to document the visit for an upcoming ESPN segment.

Frank Hawley, Troxel's Gotham City Racing teammate and driver of the ProCare Rx Dodge Charger Funny Car, will be joining Troxel on this special visit.

Dream House will be the beneficiary of a special fund-raising event featuring National Hot Rod Association race car drivers, planned for Saturday, April 26 at Chateau Élan Winery & Resort in Braselton, Ga. Ticket information is available online at http://www.registereasy.org/burgess or by calling 1-678-248-3186.

The event organizers are Roger Burgess and Mike Ashley, co-owners of Gotham City Racing LLC, drivers and successful businessmen who recognize the impact Dream House has in providing for medically fragile children.

Throughout the evening event, racing fans will have an opportunity to mix and mingle with NHRA drivers competing at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce during the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals April 24-27. Some of the drivers who will attend include Burgess and Ashley, Melanie Troxel, Gary Scelzi, Frank Hawley, Jack Beckman, Matt Smith, Raymond Commisso and Danny Rowe.

“As race car owners and drivers, when we break a part, we throw it away and get a new one,” said Burgess, co-founder of ProCare Rx located in Duluth, Ga. “What if parents did that with their children? As sad as that sounds, it is happening every day right here in the U.S.A. Unable or, in some cases unwilling, to care for their child because of complicated and costly medical treatments, parents are throwing away their children.”

“We have to do something about that,” Burgess continues. “Without help, medically fragile children become wards of the state and spend a great part or all of their life in the hospital or an adult-oriented nursing home. One woman, Laura Moore, has dedicated her life to making a difference for these children.”

Dream House Founder and CEO Laura Moore is thrilled that a whole new audience will be exposed to the plight of medically fragile children. “We believe every child deserves a home, a family and a future,” she commented. “Dream House gives medically fragile children more than a vacation or a chance to make a memory. We help these precious children find their forever home and family for keeps!”

When asked what has motivated him to get involved with Dream House Burgess said, “Giving money is easy, giving time is hard, and giving your life takes an angel. Laura Moore is an angel. She needs our help so Dream House can help these kids find loving, caring homes.” Dream House is a non-profit organization dedicated to transitioning medically fragile children from institutions to homes, training families and preparing their houses so they can have the quality of life they deserve.
