Dragway 42 nitro jam

When 42 was completely rebuilt several years ago they purchased extra land and repositioned the track to provide more shutdown area. With that in mind, why would they limit top fuel and funny car to 1/8th mile? I bet the fans in the area don’t appreciate it

Have you ever ran a car down 42? The end of the shutdown comes quick at 140 mph let alone 300. 1/8th mile is very much the smart thing to do at that track.
