Wow, that was a close race! OK, war story. Wild Bill Alexnander drove the Ernies Camera dragster in early 60's, based out of Glendale, Calif. There is a cemetary in Glendale with a long, straight road running along side. So one day, they took the dragster & made a "test run" on that street. They didn't call him Wild Bill for nothing.

Watched this little gem last night on YouTube. Punch in NHRA Winternationals 1965. Priceless footage, about 28 minutes long. Comp, Top Gas and some nice AA/FD action. Also another gem from Fontana Drag City circa 1965.
