Thanks everyone , nice pictures too.
We went to Earlville IA. on Saturday ,made three runs in four hours ,but couldn't get hold of the track . Our new to Nitro crew did great.
The groove was narrow and not much rubber this early in the season. It didn't smoke the tires, but kept spinning them after 100' , Doc short shifted one time but still broke them loose.
We cracked an exhaust rocker at Cordova ,and the spares were left in the shop. It ran a 6.0 to the the 1000' . Motor now has six runs on it without taking the heads off. It still leaks 10 percent, I like that little blower with 18%, easy on old guys between rounds.
This is the same chassis that we ran in the '80s, it has over 400 runs ,and in '86 became the fourth NHRA F/C to run in the 5.50's.
This chassis also finished 2nd in IHRA points three years in a row.
We plan to run Cordova on June 21-22. Come by and say hi !
