Listen, I don't pull for JFR period. I passionately go against them on Sunday. I like John, Mike, Ashley, and Robert as ppl, As characters of racing, and the NHRA. But you have to pull against someone and that's who I choose too. But I'll stick to what I've said from day 1. I don't want YOU telling me how to spend my money and I'm not going to tell JForce how to spend his, or run his business.

Is a little weird that Foxy Troxy didn't get down the track Friday, Saturday a pair of mid/low 20's... then Sunday... while, at the same time Frank had a pair of teens Friday, mid to upper 4's Saturday, Then .32 better Troxy Sunday, a pair of low .2's, then the 6.967 against Jack...

By the by Nebraski, I'm a Jimmy, Hopsing, Robert Fan... not an everything JFR fan... But I do like The Princess & Guido... Guido's cool...

Any Word when Vegas Fuel is coming to Virginia?

Point well taken, Karl. I too like some of the JFR personalities, just not some of the tactics, etc. And I couldn't help wondering the same thing why the Hawley car out of the same camp can hit the ground hauling a$$, and the Melanie ride continues to exhibit the same ol' problems--curioser and curioser. On the VegasFuel front, the sugar free version in the white can debuts this week. Not sure on when the product will hit Virginia, but ya just never know, I may be able to get some going your way as a "pre distribution taste test":D Pm me your address info and I'll see what I can do! And V Fuel and the Captain definitely do get along very well! Mike Minick should be happy to hear that!

Personally, I think the thinking power of these teams is far beyond what has been thrown out here so far.

Now, you all may say I am nuts, but...
I don't buy that it was just overpowering the track at that time.
Think about it this way. When Robert/Ashley/John need to step up, they usually can. John has ran the worst out of those 3 this year. (This is not to say they can just "step up and win any race they want to - duh!)

If JFR wanted to "hide" a dive, they could do it by smoking the tires in the same spot over several rounds just so it would look like they didn't have the car tuned good in that spot, and to keep people content. With the points system in place, what does it matter. When you know how many round behind the competition you are, and know what you got to do, you make it up where you have to, and help the other team mates where you have to.

I say they are just smart. Not saying it's the coolest way to do it, but it's smart.

Personally I don't think that was a dive. Lots of fuel cars smoked the tires, not just JFR.

BTW, as far as Mel, I know this isn't going to be a popular opinion but they should have stuck to their plan of putting Skuza in that car... Mel is a much better top fuel driver than a flopper driver.

I know some of you will think that's a cheap shot, but if you're going to call that a cheap than than you might as well say that crew chiefs Alan Johnson and Jimmy Walsh should stick to tuning the rails....

I certainly respect your point of view, Sam, and as I said in the posts I have nothing concrete to base it on. There are those that also believe that Tony P didn't dive repeatedly for Force during his tenure at JFR. I happen to be one that believes there was considerable hanky panky going on in the Bellhousing during that era, and Tony himself has all but said that. That being the case, it does make me suspicious of something like Sunday's arguably convenient smokers for Neff, but I will be the first to state that there is no evidence whatsoever that that was the case--I just found it interesting is all.

And I would like to see Skuza get a ride also, but I have a hard time believing very much of the poor performances of the FC in question has been Melanie's fault. To my way of thinking, she's a driver, period. And if she would have been fortunate enough to land in a rocket like Ashley Force did, I think her "driving skills" in a funny car would be perceived in a much different light. Just my two cents worth...
