Not that I blame them -- I mean why would you not? Force is a businessman, I'm sure Old Spice wants Zippy in the countdown. And it can't hurt for JFR to have four out of ten in the field.

Was it a dive, sure. Is that a surprise? Nah...

I did not stay up last night to watch the race... going strictly by the numbers and listening to the audio cast... Robert left on Mike and smoked the tires the same area he rattled or smoked them in round 1, 3, and 4 in qualifying...

Mike left on the Princess in round 2, like that's a surprise, she rattled the tire about the same point on the track she did in round 1, this time they didn't hold, so she clicked it...

I find it amazing that JFR has such a great handle on their cars that they can run to the .001 to qualify in just the right spots to make this diving possible.

Oh, and Congrats to Fast Jack and his Crew for hitting your 4.18 dial in 6 outta 8 runs

I was highly surprised Force didn't pick Fast Jack for the fourth car.
They are good friends and he was the go to guy to teach the Girls to GOfast.

Last time I checked the winner wins and that's what counts.
When both lanes were working in the qualifying there were some awesome runs.
All in all it was a good safe race and that's what counts.
I know Doug landing in the sand was scarey in the Kalitta camp even mildly.

Karl, my man, I have the utmost respect for you and your posts, but this time, I'm gonna have to disagree with you. I too am part of the conspiracy theorists this time...it looked funny to me--have nothing else to go on at all. Granted, I am not a JFR fan--kinda quit being a fan of that team during the Tony P era, if you know what I mean, but if it wasn't orchestrated, it sure worked out well for Zippy! Remember, it's just my opinion and I have nothing to base it on. We're still friends, aren't we?

I, too, fell asleep on the telecast last night--those late start times are just hell on old folks! And like I said, I have a tendency to not be real objective about the exploits of JFR (just ask Suzie Q--she has been an ear for what she calls my "Force rants" many times) It's all good, Karl, just wish Mel Trox could get a ride that would go down the track sometime....

Is a little weird that Foxy Troxy didn't get down the track Friday, Saturday a pair of mid/low 20's... then Sunday... while, at the same time Frank had a pair of teens Friday, mid to upper 4's Saturday, Then .32 better Troxy Sunday, a pair of low .2's, then the 6.967 against Jack...

This is the joys of team mates. JFR are genius; why wouldnt you do everything in your power to assure all four cars in the countdown. It would have been foolish to have Hight of Force beat Neff. I am not saying they threw the races but if they did kudos to them for playing the team card wisely.
