What an incredible 4.09 last night by Cruz, and Bob Vandergriff already is looking excellent with Flynn. Cruz says that was a 3.96 or 3.97 sealevel. You still have to give it to Joe Amato and Jimmy Prock. His 4.582 in 2000 has still stood. The 3.930 right now is about only a 4.62. How come no one makes light of this 11 year track record? I find it just as cool as Big's 5.63 7 year national record.

The 3.86 that Antron ran there in '09 most likely would have surpassed Amato's run.

yes and thanks i forgot about that. Either way before that Amato's record was 9 years! That's still some accomplishment today. Anyone know of any other long standing current track records? Doug Kalitta's 4.420 at chicago would be a 3.74 about.

Lets remember that was the ONLY time in NHRA history that they ran 3 Pro sessions in one day! Plus it really cooled down during that 3rd session!

It sure got quiet in here.

Because someone learned that they saw something not another person in the world saw that never actually took place. :D Hight's 4.79 from 2005 is still the quickest 1320 and that is just about cruz's 4.09 run friday.
