Demke and Maddern Racing looking forward to Topeka (1 Viewer)

Topeka, KS – After an early exit from the Houston race, the Maddern Racing Team were given a homework assignment. Their task was to head back to the shop and work on their race car. It sure beats calculus or writing a twelve page essay on African tree frogs. This weekend at Heartland Park Topeka, they will present their findings to the class, the Top Alcohol Dragster class that is.

“I am looking forward to going fast,” said Maddern Racing driver Chris Demke. “The boys have been working hard on the combination, and I am confident the car will respond.”

Finding more horsepower and a few hundredths is not the easiest thing. The first step is to go through the car and perform the regular maintenance. Then the thinking caps are donned. Crew Chief Jerry Maddern, Kevin Watson, Mike Demke, and Ronald Mann all had a task to complete. Each had his own idea, but together they combined their thoughts and discussed their options. Lending a hand in the support process are newly added team members Operational Solutions, along with big brothers Peen Rite and 801 Racing. The amazing discovery and big solution remains a closely guarded secret. The final grade will be proof enough.

“I look at who is racing with us at Topeka, and once again it’s a stout field,” added Demke. “I like competition, and I am using this weekend as stress relief. It’s been a long week at my regular job, and strapping myself into a race car is going to be a great way to relax.”

Some people put cucumbers on their eyes and soak in a tub. Others grill burgers and weenies in the back yard with a cold beverage. In Topeka, Chris Demke will treat a two hundred and sixty mile per hour trip down the race track as a spa treatment. If all goes as planned, Demke and the Maddern Racing Team will be at the spa right through the finals. Then they can prepare for their next homework assignment.

We believe true happiness comes from blazing down the blacktop with the pedal to the metal and our hair on fire. The whiter our knuckles get, the better. If it were up to us, cars wouldn't even have brakes, just two gas pedals. It's this never-ending need for speed that drives everything we do.
We spend countless hours in the lab and lying awake at night plotting and planning how to get more speed by any means possible. After decades of research and innovation, we've developed a complete line of performance and car care products designed to ensure that your ride lives up to its potential on the street and on the track. We know what you want. We got what you need. We are 801 Racing. For more information on 801 racing, please visit: 801 RACING
