imagine that, sign full throttle and push out those who stepped up to the plate to sponsor other teams, then shove their nose in the dirt. Now we have the "policy" dictate that a company can sponsor tracks and races, but not a car, and now put another team out. What product will NHRA have if they didn't have cars to begin with. Why would any team go through the expense and effort to aquire a major sponsor, when you have a sanctioning body who will screw your efforts in the long run.

Call it sour grapes, just say I have a bad attitude, But someone, anyone, I don't care who they are, explain to me why you'd screw the very product that makes you who you are. Why do teams have to compete in a no win situation with NHRA? There are many companies who would like to activate a program, but why would they spend the money to do so, and then have it terminated buy NHRA because they didn't think of it first.

Sorry to say, this isn't business. This is a corporate subsidised shake down.

The only way for O'reilly to appreciate the value abd power of the marketing program is for those who really feel they are the very demographic of NHRA, to not do business with the chain of stores, and to encourage family and friends the same. Wanna see the power of drag racing marketing, that will be the best way to do so.

Tom Compton, where ever it was you got your college degree, I cannot suggest more strongly that you return to that school and get your money back, as you have not learned chit. You may have recieved the honorable position from Dallas Gardner, but you are not worthy of maintaining the grass and flowers that grow among where Wally eternally rests.

I am so over this whole picture of NHRA's version of "Sell Out" Professional Drag Racing.

Dale,I believe it was O'Reilys decision not to re up with Del not NHRA's. Bob Wilbers blog said "Throughout its long-term association with NHRA, O'Reilly has always chosen to focus on event and track sponsorships, and decided not to break with that marketing strategy to renew the Worsham Racing program after the CSK acquisition." that makes me think it's an O'Reily decision.

I'm sure had CSK not sold out to O'Reilly they would have continued to renew. Don't be mad at NHRA as it's now O'Reilly's gig and decision. The good news is Worsham's have a lot of associates they are connected to.

No surprise, the Worsham's knew about the end of CSK sponsorship since the beginning of the year.

I hope they find something as good if not better then the CSK deal.

If not, I think a vintage "Tinker Toy" paint job is in order. :D
