NHRA® Team Report
NHRA® Heartland Nationals - Topeka
Pre-Race Report
After a quick trip back to the shop in Brownsburg following the Chicago race, Cruz Pedregon and team set out for Topeka refreshed and excited about the weekend ahead. "It feels great to see the good clean runs we're getting…it's really the foundation of what we want to do the rest of the season," Cruz says. "Scoring lane choice for the fifth time in nine races and securing that third round one win of the season shows we're on the right track. This weekend should be fast and fun."
Crew Chief Glen Huszar and Assistant Crew Chief Nick Casertano are looking to repeat the strategy that worked in getting the Snap-on Dodge® from A to B in Chicago and stepping it up a notch since Cruz has won Topeka before and is battling his way into the top 10.
On the side of Cruz's car –
Check out Cruz's car this week, and you'll see the name of area Snap-on Nitro Franchisee Brian Bradfield. Brian spent most of his career working as a heavy duty mechanic before taking on his franchise two years ago. He says he's always liked tools and cars and he "lives and breathes Snap-on." Brian enjoys being around his customers each week and has plans to bring about 45 of them to the track this weekend. He's been to the drag races numerous times and says he likes all of the classes and watching "anything with a motor that goes fast."
