NHRA® Team Report
NHRA Gatornationals - Gainesville
Pre-Race Report

Cruz Pedregon says the team is making some really good changes to the Snap-on Dodge® and the car is responding. He says he's close to getting the type of performances he had at the Gatornationals in years past where he was the number one qualifier four years running.
"It's hard to show these incremental improvements we're making, but when we're reviewing performance the car is right there to really go" says Cruz. "Nick (Casertano) and Eric (Lane) are excited to see the power we get out of the car close to sea level. The work we're doing is getting the car to the consistent, parts-sparing place we need it to be.
"We've been back in the shop in Indy shoring up things, building our inventory for the season, and we are all very excited for the Gatornats." NHRA fans may remember the epic win Cruz had in Gainesville in 1998, something he says he'd like to repeat.
For this year's race, he's encouraging fans to stop by the pit to take a look at the Snap-on 100th anniversary paint scheme and post pictures with the hashtag #Snapon100. In addition to the paint scheme, the team just introduced its newly decked-out hauler celebrating the Snap-on 100th.

On the side of Cruz's car

On the side of Cruz's car this week you'll see the name of Snap-on Nitro Franchisee Trent Comer. Trent has had his Snap-on business for five years after a career in outdoor retail sales. He says his neighbor is the one who introduced him to the Snap-on franchise opportunity, and he really enjoys helping customers find solutions to their repair needs. When he's not here at the track or working his Snap-on route, Trent spends his time off-roading, riding four-wheelers.
