NHRA® Team Report
NHRA Arizona Nationals – Chandler, AZ
Pre-Race Report
Cruz Pedregon and crew will join fellow NHRA teams and fans in the sport’s farewell race at Arizona’s Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park this weekend. After the season-opening Gatornationals, the team took the Snap-on® "Makers and Fixers" Dodge® SRT® Hellcat® back to the shop in Brownsburg, Indiana before hitting the road for a race Cruz says is special.
"It’s bittersweet knowing it’s our last race here, especially for a track that was a winner for us in ’93 and where we were runner up in ‘94," says Cruz. “We feel good about the combination we have going into the Arizona Nationals, and we plan to make it a winning goodbye to this track I’ve raced every year of my career."
No major changes are planned for the Snap-on Funny Car for the upcoming race according to Crew Chief John Collins. The car body will continue to highlight “Makers & Fixers” as a call out by the team’s sponsor, Snap-on, for the Makers and Fixers among us to share their stories at makersandfixers.com.
On the side of the car is the name of local Snap-on Nitro Franchisee Armando Herrara. He’s met Cruz several times and has been here to the track several times as a fan of the races. He says his favorite thing about owning his Snap-on franchise is “providing the quality, professional tools” his customers need.
