DELAWARE, OH (Jan. 8) -- The final 2007 issue of C The Columbus Magazine, a publication about life in Columbus, Ohio, highlights the incredible season of Team JEGS and the three championships won this past year by drivers Jeg Coughlin Jr., Mike Coughlin, and John Coughlin.
Including the cover shot, which features all four Coughlin brothers huddled around Mike Coughlin's championship-winning Top Sportsman Chevrolet Cobalt, the magazine has an in-depth 12-page article outlining all four brothers, family patriarch Jeg Coughlin Sr., the impact of JEGS Mail Order on the City of Columbus' economy, and the exhaustive work of team publicist Scott "Woody" Woodruff and his whirlwind final day of the season when Jeg Jr. clinched his third POWERade Pro Stock title.
"It's a real honor for C to have chosen us for this feature story," Woodruff said. "They spent many, many hours putting this story together and we're thrilled with how it turned out. Not only did the editors select us for the cover but they used a bunch of pictures inside that really highlight what we do. The story itself is first-rate and the research they did on each of the brothers is impressive."
In 2007, Jeg Jr. won his third POWERade Pro Stock title and fourth overall world championship (he also won the Super Gas crown in 1992) with four victories in the factory hot rod class. Mike captured the Division 3 Top Sportsman title with five victories and was so dominant he also was named Division 3 Sportsman Driver of the Year. John won three races en route to the Division 3 Top Dragster crown in it's first year of competition.
