DELAWARE, OH. (April 13) – One thing that is constant in racing is change. John and Mike Coughlin headed to Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Ky on Thursday for a test session with plans of heading to Indy after testing for the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Division 3 opener. Mother nature forced NHRA officials to reschedule the Indy event so the team regrouped and headed to South Georgia Motorsports Park to compete in an out of division NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event.
"We had a great test session as a team on Thursday in Bowling Green," explained John Coughlin. "Our team was ready to race, so we found a race."
Team JEGS will be armed with three cars when the yellow and black JEGS Mail Order rig rolls through the gates at South Georgia Motorsports Park. John will be racing in Top Dragster and Super Stock. Younger brother Mike will pilot his JEGS.com Chevy Cobalt in Top Sportsman with a new engine combination.
Gates at South Georgia Motorsports Park open at 8 a.m. each day. Qualifying and time trials begin Friday, April 13, at noon and continue Saturday at 10 a.m. Top Sportsman and Top Dragster qualifying is slated for 5:30 p.m. Friday and 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
