Well I waited til this morning to post this, so I would not ruin anyone's raceday, but GREAT !! job team Wilk, you guys come to the mountain with new chassis, the new goodyear's and 1000ft racing, and never missed a beat, and did it with Mr. Levi and family to watch it all take place.

please, let me get in line to congratulate tim and team.......again!
awesome performance and wishing continued success.

Timmy's definitely got possesion of the BIG STICK at the moment!;)

Great job guys, hopefully his momentum will carry throughout the Countdown!

What gets me is where did they come from? I don't think he finished in the Top 10 last year. The year before he had some success, but I don't think I've seen any team as long as I've been around this sport do a 1 year turn around like Tim has, this year has been incredible!;)

Joe, having access to some blower and clutch dyno's from the Snake has helped, along with the 90% along with some long hours in shop from his crew massaging all the parts to make sure everything is where it needs to be, such as clutch discs, keeping all the heads serviced, etc. like Tim has mentioned there is no unimportant job, and keeping things serviced is a big factor in parts failure.

Congrats Tim and crew... Ya'll didn't miss a beat with the new combo of chassis, tires and shorter track... Outstanding Job...

And I'm not even upset that you took out Ashley, Zippy, Then Robert.

Like it used to say on the spoilers of almost every flopper in '71....
When You're Hot, You're Hot !!!!

My team and I were fortunate enough to be part of the exhibition the week before at Eddyville where Wilk was running with Wyatt. Got to shoot the sh!t a little with him on the starting line, as well as have him re-sign my helmet. What a down-to-earth Dood.

Then he goes out the next weekend and whips up on 'em again..............AWESOME!!!!

Congratulations to Wilkerson and the crew! Even if we did have to make a last minute change to my story this morning. Heh. When I wrote the story last Friday he had won three events (which was true at the time!) but it's a good reason to fix it so it was up to date.

After chatting with Tim last week for my preview of the Seattle race I definitely agree with ya, Sean, great guy. :)

When I talked to Gary Densham (also for the article) he told me he figured both their cars benefited from the change in minimum weight requirements and he also said that Tim's car seems to be running better on the 90 percent. The last really successful season he had was in 2004 when he won two races (based on my research).

With this win Wilk has doubled his career high of single season wins if I'm doing my math right.

Just a good weekend for the LRS team. Looking forward to meeting Tim face to face this weekend.

The bummer of it all, is the fact that his ever growing points lead (200+) will evaporate here in a few short races. When this deal all shakes out, I sure hope he is close to the top, becasue he deserves every bit of it.

I've been to three races this season and Wilk has won two of them which is awesome. I would hate to see the new point system bite him in the butt.

I noticed during the Mile High's that Wilkersons teams does one thing that no other nitro team does. At the end of the burnout he has a crew member waiting for him. As soon as he stops, the crew member makes an adjustment to the blower (which is normal)and the crew member begins pushing him back. The first time I though his reverser was out but they did this every qualifying attempt and all 4 rounds of eliminations. No other nitro team did this.

A couple teams have guys out there after the burnout to make sure the injector is closed all the way so the idle is not to high-- They just go up and push on the bottom side of the butterflies. A high idle can make it hard to get in reverse.

The push back is probably for the same reason AJ has guys push the army car towards the water-help keep heat off the clutch.
