Has the Al Anabi team been taking advantage of the not so stellar competition in Top Fuel? Staying inside the Top 10? And ready to mount a huge knowledge and $$$$ push for the final races? Don't know, but this type of logic is very very possible.
I don't think it's a huge surprise that Shawn got a win in the Al-Anabi digger, the surprise is that it took this long. Still, he's officially a serious contender for the Top Fuel Title in 2012 - Congrats, Shawn!!
They showed signs of improvement at the US Nationals. What would scare me is if I went back to my 'tried and true' combination and then found that the car didn't respond to it the same way any more. That said, Hagan/Delago are hammering along and going rounds again. Schu's 3.74 this weekend was a heck of a run too. Good to see Langdon get one - he seems much more humble and focused than his days at MLR...very happy for him.
