The ComAnd Racing team of Raymond Commisso and Ralph Andreacchi sponsored by R2B2 Motors made a strong showing at the recent Torco Racing Fuel Nationals at Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie , Virginia .
The ComAnd Pro Mod team which has essentially held the #2 spot in AMS Pro Mod points recently had slipped to 3rd position after back to back non qualifying efforts at Indy and Dallas. Driver Raymond Commisso stated, “We had a mechanical problem in the car somewhere and it refused to show its face.
We went testing and made 17 runs on the car in a 2 day period and worked it out. She was back to her old self again last weekend”. The team marched through qualifying bettering themselves on every run and disposed of some hitters on the way to the finals. Clutch man Frank “the crank” Lombardi exclaimed, “I was proud of our team, as we have struggled lately.
We had the car to beat here all day. It ran real consistent and was fast. It’s a shame we gave it away in the finals by .002 of a second, but hey that’s racing so they say”.
The runner up finish for Commisso and tuner Al Billes placed the G-Force Race Cars built 67 Camaro back in the 2nd spot in points. Their # 9 qualifying effort secured them a spot in the Pro Care RX Pro Mod Clash at the upcoming NHRA AC Delco Las Vegas Event.
