I heard there may be 12 top fuel cars for the race coming up this weekend. Shawn Reed supposedly is running to test his hand prior to Maple Grove.

Just ran into the IHRA guy in Kroger, he said there are 16 TF cars on the property already. He said a bunch of guys rolled in this morning from Indy they were totally surprised. I am meeting the wife for lunch and then I am going to run over and see who is there. I will get pics if I can get in.
Could wind up being a big show.

Update I just left Darana raceway, the official their confirmed as of right now there are 14 top fuel nitro and 12 funny car nitro on the entry list. They’re expecting most of them to come in this evening and some tomorrow.
I plan on going back over this evening and see if they’ll let me back in to see who’s there the only person that is actually on site right now is Mitch King I talk to him for a little while pretty nice guy

Good to see cars showing up. Now with that it makes it tough for the lower funded teams. Now how many fans show up?

I find it odd how the TAD class car counts has dwindled since the first race. I’m sure there is nothing to it but that is one of the healthier NHRA classes.

I hope some more alcohol cars roll in later in the week. Either way, it looks like the making of a great show. Dan Hix and Eric Stevens are two funny cars to keep an eye on.
