Jenn's comment about my signature line reminded me.....

Did anyone watch the CMA's Sunday night? Trace Adkins sang "Till the Last Shot's Fired" with the Westpoint choir. That song is on the CD 'X' so I'm well aware of it and it brings me chills everytime I hear it. BUT, when the vet on stage introduced the song and to see it performed live.....Wow!

"It's not about the war. It's about the warrior."

I recorded the show on TiVo but haven't watched it yet. I'll check it out this weekend. Sounds pretty powerful though!!

Pam and I watched it Kel. I thought it was one of hte better shows they have had in recent years. And ofcourse she loved ole Trace.

Also, just FYI incase you didnt know he is going to be at Coushatta next month, the 16th I beleive if you want to make a road trip. I can always play poker while yall go to the concert.

Well, that brought tears to my eyes.

My niece is in a program called the "Blue Star Kids" which is basically a program like the Blue Star Mothers where the kids make cards, letters and packages for their loved ones overseas. (My niece was so excited that she's got an 'Uncle' in the Air Force, I keep teasing her that he's not her uncle yet, and I may ditch him for a marine)

They get together to sing patriotic songs and share experiences about their loved ones overseas. This might be a little more emotionally charged than his appropriate for that set but I think I'll send it on anyway.

LOL @ the Marine thingy!

Yes, Jenn....it was very intense. The first time I heard it on his CD, I thought that it will be bigger than 'Arlington' ever was! He is definitely an artist that believes in and supports the cause!

I was in New York last week for business and on the flight home sat next to one of the West Point Choir members on the hop from LGA to DFW. (For those of you who missed the performance, they were backing Trace on the CMA's) There were about 20 of them on this particular flight... turns out American Airlines footed the bill for transporting the choir to and from Las Vegas. Anyway, she was a very nice young lady, and they were all THRILLED to be taking part in the Wounded Warriors tribute.

Kudos to American Airlines for this!

It was reported on the radio that Tim McGraw didn't show for his performance because of disagreement with the show's producer.

Good job Tim. Nevermind the ppl that pluck down money to buy you stuff and those who never get a chance to see ya LIVE!

He was probably spent the evening buying a new plastic cowboy hat.

George Strait was great!
