EDMONTON, ALBERTA (July 8, 2007) – Pro Modified driver Eddie Ware lost a close race in the quarter finals to Matt Hagen’s 1968 Camaro from Christianburg VA at the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) Knoll - Gas Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series in Edmonton, Alberta on Sunday.
The Disturbed Motorsports driver ran 6.19-seconds at 227.77-mph in a loosing effort to Hagen’s 6.17-seconds at 228.58-mph at the CARS RV & Marine & Motorsport Rocky Mountain Nationals presented by Torco Racing Fuels.
“It was a carbon copy of the last race with the exception that Matt (Hagen) got us this time in the second round,” said Eddie Ware, the Georgia-based driver of the Rupture Streetwear, Baudier Vehicle Graphics, and Mickey Thompson Performance Tires sponsored team. “We beat Chip (King) in the first round at the last race in Oklahoma two weeks ago.”
Ware’s Supercharged Pro Modified Chevrolet Camaro qualified 12th in the 16-car field with a 6.225-second, 228.54-mph run, and defeated number four qualifier Chip King from Semora, NC in his 1969 Daytona in the first round with a 6.212-second 227.69-mph run.
Ed Hoover’s 1963 Corvette from Gilbert, SC defeated Carl Spiering driving a 1967 Camaro from Jordan Station, Ontario in the final round of the Torco’s CompetitionPlus.com Pro Modified division.

The IHRA Eighth Annual MOPAR Canadian Nationals presented by Castrol is scheduled for July 20-22 at the Grand Bend Motorplex.
