So great to see Clay finally win one! One of the genuinely nicest guys in all of motorsports. I met him at Cordova many years ago at the IHRA Summernationals and have been a fan ever since.

Me and my dad were cheering up and down when he won. His winners circle speech was one of the best ever.

Am proud to say I met Clay at Pomona many years ago. Still, to this day, THE NICEST GUY I ever met.
I jumped up and down cheering when he won.
Yeah, I got a little choked up too. Awesome win. Long deserved.

And to get the long awaited win at Clay's home track was a HUGE bonus!
I met him ever so briefly at the Winternationals and I can say that Clay is EXACTLY the fun loving guy you see on TV.

That was a really nice gesture by Leah. This TF final is what I meant when I said it was a perfect pairing for me.
Either Clay gets his first or Leah adds further to a record season. When she wins the sport gets more attention than usual.
But Clay finally winning an NHRA event was huge. Dougzilla may have even let out a sigh of relief (flames and all)!

Whoooooooooooo. I've been waiting for this day for ever or at least 254 Weekends. Just the nicest guy and great to see this finally happen. I was worried many times that he would not be able to find sponsors and stay out there until he got a win. Congratulations Clay!

I too got very emotional with Clay's win. It was so great to see him finally break through. I think he will win some more now. Look what happened when Erica finally won. When you know you
can win, it makes winning come easier it seems.
